A wonderful photo sent in by one of our moorland keepers of a Red Grouse feeding on Rowan berries.. the Rowan is a native tree that grows in the gulleys/cleughs of our areas of managed moorland, areas that are very important for our population of Black grouse that are currently in a perilous situation in the Southern Uplands and one that our land managers are working hard to improve..
